Frequently Asked Questions

Read the User guide. It is recommended to pay attention to tooltips (hints) that are available on almost every page. They all briefly and to the point inform what and how to do.

A season is a period of time during which all tournaments take place. In StarTeam, seasons start on the 1st of each month and continue until the last day of the month.

Regular League and Cup tournaments start at the beginning of each season (on the 1st of each month) and continue until the last day of the month.

Conditions for team participation in these tournaments: having a stadium and at least 15 players in the team, the manager must log into the game at least once a month.

Your team will automatically start participating in the League on the day the season starts - the algorithm can assign your team to one of the existing leagues or form a new league (division).

If you registered in the game from the 2nd to the 25th of the month, your team will be automatically enrolled in the Novice League (if there are enough teams). You will receive a corresponding notification.

Your team will automatically start participating in the Cup on the day the season starts.

  • Test your understanding of tactical schemes or try a new tactic.
  • Train the least skilled or young players.
  • Give playing experience and improve statistics of young talents or non-playing players.

Your team's players will gain experience (training points) for participating in games and useful actions (goal, assist, etc.).

However: sponsor prize payments are not awarded for friendly games.

Fans are club supporters. Their number increases with each victory in an official game and slightly decreases after a defeat.

The type of game is of significant importance (league and cup games add more fans than friendly games and tournaments). The number of goals scored by the team, game spectacle, and other parameters can also influence.

The number of fans that come to a game depends on many factors, such as: game type, team continents, game demand.

Stadium income is determined by the number of fans, each fan pays $1 for visiting the stadium.

Note that the team receives income only from its own fans.

In-game regular money (i.e. dollars):

  • At the beginning of the game, your only sources of income are prize money (for participating in and winning friendly tournaments) and stadium revenue. Your fan base will grow based on your success, so don't forget to expand your stadium.
  • You can earn money by selling players on the transfer market.
  • You'll receive prize money for your team's regular season League placement.
  • Participating in the daily roulette and watching ads can also generate a small but stable income.
  • You can share your referral link and earn money after new users register and verify their account.
  • If you find promo codes for the game, you can use them and win various prizes [user profile page].

In-game premium money (i.e. prembs):

  • Prembs have a small chance of appearing in the daily roulette.
  • Prembs can be obtained by entering certain special promo codes.

Yes, all players in teams get older each season (at the beginning of the calendar month).

Players over 35 years old can announce their retirement in the season following the current one. You will have the option to extend the contract (for at least one season) if the player is less than 43 years old.

The chance of extension depends on the number of games (in %) played by the player for the team in the current season.

Successful contract extension will cost you 20% of the player's price.

When renewing a contract in this case, there is no guarantee that the player will not leave after a season (which also depends on his age - the older he is, the greater the chance)

If the player's contract extension is unsuccessful, the player is guaranteed to retire next season, and no funds will be written off.

In the "Training" section, you can improve player characteristics using training points. These actions can also be performed from the player's profile

Young players (under 22 years old) have chances to improve their talent. For age 16, the chance is 90%, for 17 - 70%, for 18 - 55%, for 19 - 25%, for 20 - 10%, for 21 - 5%.

Players over 35 years old begin to lose characteristics due to age. Upon reaching age 35, a player can lose no more than 5 skill levels (subtracted randomly from characteristics), for 36 - no more than 6, for 37 - 8, for 38 - 10, for 39 - 12, for 40 - 14, for 41 - 15, for 42 - 16, for 43 - 18, for 44 - 20.

The one that exists at the current moment. At the start of the game, the starting lineup players, their positions, and all characteristics are determined.

Players unavailable for games (due to disqualifications and injuries) are not taken into account when generating the game.

Players, upon receiving an injury, transition to the "injured" state and are out for one or several games (depending on the severity of the injury).

After the injury is healed, the player is again available for games and can be assigned to the starting lineup.

Player recovery will occur automatically after a certain number of games (ANY types of games are counted).

Also, if you have medkits, you can heal the player early by using them (1 medkit removes 1 injury level). See: Infrastructure -> Infirmary

If you have 2 prembs (premium currency), you can instantly heal injury of any complexity on a player. See: Infrastructure -> Infirmary

Players, upon receiving a red card, transition to the "disqualified" state and are out for 2 games (cross-tournament disqualification applies to all tournaments in which the team participates - friendly, Cup, League or Novice League, as well as Continental Cup).

Tournaments also have a yellow card accumulation rule: every 4 yellow cards (received in a specific tournament) received by a player lead to 1 game of cross-tournament official disqualification.

In rare cases, disqualification for both penalties can be combined, in which case the player will be disqualified for 3 games.

After serving the disqualification, the player becomes available for games again and can be assigned to the starting lineup.

Player disqualification is automatically removed after a certain number of games.

This is the current value of the team's game effectiveness (a comparative characteristic, based on the Football Elo rating).

The higher the rating value - the better. At the very beginning, you receive 1000 points, then it changes depending on game results (all games of your team in the current season are taken into account).

On victory, the rating only increases, on defeat it only decreases, on draws both are possible, depending on the opponent's level.

To increase the rating faster, you need to beat opponents who are higher in the rating, and vice versa, due to defeat to a weaker opponent, or an opponent with a lower rating, the rating falls more.

The rating is subject to the law of conservation - i.e., how much rating you received, the opponent will lose the same amount, and vice versa.

All types of games affect the rating - both league games, cup games, and even friendly games.

The rating is recalculated after each match for the teams participating in it.

  • When at the start of a game, the team has fewer than 11 players ready to play. This can happen if you don't monitor the team composition (some players are injured or disqualified), or a new season has started and some players have retired.
  • When the user has received a temporary or permanent account ban.

A team can be excluded from the league if:

  • the user does not log into the game for more than 60 days in a row.
  • the team receives a technical defeat in more than half of the season's games.
  • the team has fewer than 15 players in the squad.
  • the user has received a temporary or permanent account ban.

In this case, at the start of the new season, the team will be excluded from the league and replaced by a bot.

It is necessary to check that the team does not violate the league participation rules: you have logged into the game recently, the team has a built stadium, at least 15 players (total) and 11 players in the starting lineup.

There are several ways to restore the team:

  • in the user profile, click the "Restore team" button. The team will be restored automatically.
  • wait for the start of the new season (on the 1st of the next month), the team will be restored automatically.
  • contact technical support.

In case of successful team restoration, the team will enter the Novice League (if the restoration date is from the 2nd to the 25th of the month), otherwise you need to wait for the start of the new season. More details are described in item 3.
